THE RIGHT INFORMATION. THE RIGHT HELP.
Plan the pickup and transport
For AWD, 4WD or low-clearance vehicles, share the make and model and ask about the appropriate transport method. Let us know if the vehicle is in a garage or a restricted parking area. Metro does not present itself as a municipal or police towing operator.
Metro coordinates the request through qualified local service providers. Tell us about access restrictions and anything that may affect the job; the provider and equipment must be suitable before service is confirmed.

Useful details for service in Cranford.
01
North Avenue, South Avenue or a garage?
Cranford’s downtown parking includes station lots on the North Avenue and South Avenue sides, as well as the Cranford Crossing garage. Specify the side, lot or garage level and vehicle access. Do not rely on “at the train station” alone when requesting a jump start, lockout or tow.
02
Choose transport around the vehicle
For an AWD SUV or low-clearance car in a Cranford parking space or driveway, give the make, model and wheel condition. A flatbed request still needs an access assessment. If you have a flat tire without a usable spare, include your preferred repair destination with the request.
03
Commercial access and recovery conditions
Work vans, box trucks, buses and tractor-trailers can be assessed for commercial roadside, medium-duty or heavy-duty service. Share height, weight, load and trailer status. If a vehicle is stuck on soft ground or affected by water, describe the conditions from a safe place; recovery feasibility must be assessed before equipment is confirmed.
Metro Auto Rescue coordinates service through qualified independent local providers matched to the vehicle and job. Physical towing and roadside work is performed by those providers.
How much will the service cost?
The quote depends on your location, destination, vehicle, condition, access and equipment needed. You receive the price for the agreed job before you authorize it. If the situation changes, any additional work or price must be discussed before proceeding.
How soon can someone arrive?
Provider availability, traffic, location and equipment affect timing. Ask for the current estimate when calling. A quote request does not guarantee availability or dispatch.
What if I am on the Turnpike or Parkway?
Those roads use authorized assistance. Contact NJTA at 833-875-4243 for the New Jersey Turnpike or 833-477-4243 for the Garden State Parkway. Metro does not claim authorization to dispatch onto those controlled roadways. See NJTA’s roadside guidance.
